Colwyn Bay - The Tourist Destination in Conwy

Colwyn Bay is the seaside resort of the Conwy County, situated at the northern coast of Wales. Until 1974, it was a borough featuring a significant amount of inhabitants - more than 26.000 - but after the new designation and border setting it was left with just 9500 inhabitants. The town is situated between the Sea and the Pwllycrochan Woods.

Colwyn Bay is considered to be one of the major tourist destinations and resorts in Wales, featuring quite many attractions, such as the Victoria Pier and the Welsh Mountain Zoo. At the western part of the Bay there is the Rhos on Sea which includes numerous historic places and sights and is the ideal place for those who wish to relax and unwind a little.

Both the town itself and the nearby area of Rhos-on-Sea feature many shopping malls, golf and tennis courses and streamyx call center paths for walking. It is also known for its beaches, which are very well preserved and improved Tmcom so as to attract even more visitors every year.

The goal is to achieve the European Blue Flag soon, although already they have won several awards and contests in Britain. Several kilometres of sand which is ideal for sunbathing or games and crystal clear waters are to be expected when visiting the area.

Colwyn Bay features a vast array of hotels and Bed and Breakfasts and some of the best dining outlets in Conwy. One of the most famous buildings in the Bay was actually the Hotel 70 degrees, which is now demolished, but carries a long history in its ruins and is mentioned in all the tourist guides about the area.

Visitors who want to spend some time in this town can access it both from England and Ireland, using the A55 or the main railway lines.
